Summer Reading Program

The 2021 Summer Reading Program was a hit this year. Thank you to all of the kiddos who participated! Congratulations also to our four winners of the Summer Writing Contest! We are all so proud of you! Thank you to our sponsors who donated prizes for our kids and made this all possible. It takes a village and we are honored to be a part of yours. [Here is a video from our 2019 program].

2019 Summer Reading Program

Below are a few of the Summer Reading Program drawing prizes that kids can earn a raffle ticket for. But wait, there's more! For every hour your child reads beginning June 20th, he or she will earn one “book buck” to spend in Bookie (the book worm’s) store. Bookie’s Store will open on Thursday July 11th at 11 am.  See you soon. Oh! And don’t forget! This Thursday, June 20th is our kick off field day at the Roslyn Yard at 11 am! Come get your kiddos registered! This is going to be a really fun year!

Every summer the Roslyn Library sponsors the Summer Reading Program which aims to keep kids of all ages reading throughout the summer. The program offers incentive prizes for time spent reading, a raffle for completing reading golals, and features weeksly story time, activities and events.

Please email us at or come visit the Roslyn and Cle Elum libraries for more information! Summer Reading Program usually begins mid-June, but last year it started in July. Stay tuned as we get closer into the warmer months for news on when to register your child.
